French pay-television broadcaster SFR Sport has acquired rights to the Europe Cup, a club competition operated by the International Basketball Federation (Fiba).
The Mediasportif.fr website said the SFR Sport 2 channel will broadcast a handful of games from the latter stages of the 2016-17 season, which still has French interest in the form of Nanterre, Chalon sur Saône and Pau.
The first game to be broadcast will be tomorrow’s (Wednesday’s) second leg of the Round of 16 clash between Pau and Belgian team Oostende. Pau lost the first leg 95-86 in Belgium on February 8.
Europe Cup games are also streamed free-of-charge via video-sharing website YouTube.
