Chinese online company Sina Sports has created a new feature page to house expanded coverage of the 2016 US Open tournament under a deal with the US Tennis Association.
The page provides Sina Sports users with access to match highlights and special features for the duration of the tournament, which got underway at the weekend.
Under the agreement, the association will provide Sina Sports with interviews, press conferences, and special ‘shout-outs’ from competitors to be directed at Chinese fans.
The US Open has become the third Grand Slam to strike a collaboration with Sina Sports, following the Australian Open and the French Open.
In addition to its Grand Slam partnerships, the platform streams live coverage of the China Open and Zhuai Elite Trophy tennis tournaments. Last year, Sina Sports also became the exclusive broadcaster in China for International Premier Tennis League matches through to the end of 2016.
