Singaporean telecommunications company Singtel has extended a rights deal for football’s English Premier League.
The new agreement will run for three seasons, from 2016-17 to 2018-19.
The extension covers all matches from the league, and action will be shown on pay-television broadcaster Singtel TV as well as via the Singtel TV Go application.
Singtel has been broadcasting coverage of the top tier since the start of the 2010-11 campaign.
Singtel also provides coverage of the FA Cup and League Cup knockout club competitions as well as the Uefa Champions League and Europa League European club tournaments and Serie A, the top division of Italian football.
Yuen Kuan Moon, the chief executive of Singtel Singapore’s consumer unit, said: “Singtel TV fans can be assured that their football experience stays uninterrupted at rates that remain affordable… Since the beginning, our aim (has been) to bring the Premier League and other football properties to as many Singaporeans as possible.”
