Pay-television broadcaster Sky New Zealand has acquired rights to Australia’s National Basketball League.
The three-year deal is set to cover the 2016-17 to 2018-19 seasons, with the agreement to undergo a review at the end of each year.
As part of the deal, Sky will broadcast every game of the 2016-17 campaign, which gets underway on October 6.
Coverage of the league will be provided via the Sky Sport 1, 2, 3 and 4 channels. Games will also be accessible to fans in New Zealand through Sky’s online streaming service, Fan Pass.
The eight-team NBL comprises seven Australian clubs and one New Zealand outfit, the Breakers.
