Production company Sunset+Vine has established a new women’s sports division.
The division will be led by Lisa Hynes, a former head of news at Sunset+Vine who is re-joining the company after a spell as a senior producer at production company Landmark Films.
Sunset+Vine said that the new division would work with “federations, athletes and broadcasters to develop a road map that will broaden the appeal of women’s television sport to viewers, advertisers and sponsors alike.”
Double Olympic sailing gold medal-winner Shirley Robertson has also joined the division as an associate producer while Chris Luke, the former producer of Sunset+Vine’s motorsport programming, has been appointed to the role of editorial director, with responsibility for some women’s football and sailing events.
The company has also appointed Jonathan Edwards as head of performance sailing.
