The Sunset+Vine production company has been appointed to produce coverage of the 2014 Sailing World Championships.
Sister company Sunset+Vine International will be responsible for distributing coverage of the event, which is operated by the International Sailing Federation. The 2014 event will start tomorrow in Santander, Spain and run until September 21.
The company will produce daily news bulletins and live coverage of all 10 medal races, with more than 20 broadcasters having agreed to show coverage in more than 40 countries worldwide.
Sunset+Vine will also serve as the production partner of the upcoming 2014-15 Volvo OceanRace, with Sunset+Vine International providing distribution services.
“We are clearly demonstrating that our experience of working on the Olympics and Volvo Ocean Race – two of the three pinnacles in the sport of sailing – is paying dividends in terms of the unprecedented commitment we are securing from broadcasters globally,” Sunset+Vine managing director Andrew Preece said. “Our work with the BBC for the London 2012 Olympic sailing event has been particularly beneficial in helping us to work with the International Sailing Federation to deliver this huge collective world championship in Santander.”
