SuperSport seals Laver Cup rights

SuperSport, the pay-television broadcaster that operates in sub-Saharan Africa, has acquired rights for the Laver Cup tennis event.

The length of the deal was not disclosed, but the agreement will cover the 2017 competition.

The inaugural edition of the event, which will feature a European and World team, will take place from September 22-24 at the O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic. In 2018, the event will switch to the US.

The European and World teams will be captained by Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe for the first three years.
