SuperSport, the pay-television broadcaster that operates in sub-Saharan Africa, has extended a rights deal with the Football Association of Zambia.
The agreement will run for five years, from 2016 to 2020.
The renewal is worth a total of $5m (€4.5m), or $1m per year. The rights fee is the same as the previous deal between the two parties, according to reports.
Under the deal, SuperSport will show coverage of Zambia’s local league.
The association’s president, Kalusha Bwalya, said the deal would give Zambian clubs financial security for the coming years.
