The Tajikistan Football Federation has become the latest national governing body to sign up to the Asian Football Confederation’s recently-launched live-streaming platform.
The TFF joins the football associations of Bhutan, Oman and Kyrgyzstan as recipients of the service, which has been created by football streaming service Mycujoo.
The initiative is being driven by AFC president Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa and was approved by the AFC Development Committee in July. The scheme seeks to provide a user-friendly platform for associations to live stream matches on their respective websites, league websites and social media channels.
The first game to be streamed on the platform was the Tajik League match between FC Khujand and FC Regar Tadaz.
“In Tajikistan, apart from the capital city of Dushanbe, it is difficult to broadcast the league matches from other cities and stadiums due to the lack of necessary infrastructure,” TFF media officer Faridun Saliev said.
“Therefore, the online streaming platform is a boon to other cities whereby even clubs based outside Dushanbe will be able to stream the matches live on the internet. This will also help the federation and clubs to attract more fans and thereby attract more investments through sponsorship.”
The application also allows associations to create a catalogue of matches, highlights, interviews and other content to promote all levels of football in their country.
