Canadian pay-television sports broadcaster TSN has expanded its rights partnership with Canada Soccer, the governing body of the sport in the country.
TSN is currently featuring the qualifying tournament for the 2018 Fifa World Cup, along with select men’s and women’s national team friendly matches.
Canada Soccer said that as part of an extension of its partnership, the Road to Rio Women's International Series, featuring Canada v Brazil, will be broadcast on TSN and its French-language sister broadcaster RDS on June 4 and June 7.
In addition, TSN will deliver the country’s professional soccer championship – the Canadian Championship. The competition will be featured from coast to coast on TSN this summer in the month of June, with Montréal Impact matches also available on RDS.
This marks the first year that TSN will broadcast the Canadian Championship.
