Canadian pay-television sports broadcaster TSN and French-language sister network RDS, along with pay-television broadcaster beIN Sports Canada, have acquired rights to the Uefa Champions League and Europa League club football competitions.
The multi-year agreement with European football’s governing body commences from the 2015-16 season and makes TSN and RDS the primary Canadian broadcast partners of the Champions League and Europa League.
TSN will broadcast more than 190 games, including up to 16 group stage games weekly, extensive coverage of the knockout phase, as well as the Europa League final and the Champions League final. RDS will deliver live coverage of three of the best matches from each competition each week.
RDS and TSN subscribers can also access live streaming and on-demand viewing of the networks’ Champions League and Europa League coverage through the TSN Go and RDS Go platforms.
TSN and RDS’s agreement with Uefa will also allow beIN Sports Canada to deliver a significant package of games to their subscribers for both Champions League and Europa League, including live matches and highlight packages.
BeIN Sports subscribers will be able to view more than 55 Champions League matches per season across its television network and subscription-based live streaming platform, beIN Sports Connect.
Subscribers will also be able to watch more than 90 Europa League matches throughout the tournament, including the final match.
