The Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) has opened up the tender for the domestic broadcast rights to the Championnat de la Ligue Professionnelle 1, the top division of Tunisian football, to foreign broadcasters.
The FTF received bids for the rights to the next three seasons of the league, from 2013-14 to 2015-16, from privately-owned Tunisian broadcaster Hannibal TV and state-owned broadcaster Télévision Nationale.
However, it has elected to award just one package of rights to Hannibal TV, with the reserve price of the other packages having not been met.
The FTF has now opened a second round of bidding and has set a deadline of August 16, but has specified that any foreign broadcaster would have to televise games on a free-to-air basis.
