Turkish telco Turkcell will continue to offer the S Sport and S Sport 2 channels after extending its carriage deal with their owner and operator, rights agency Saran Media.
The extension with Saran means S Sport and S Sport2 will continue to be carried by Turkcell’s TV+ service.
The latest agreement comes just weeks after Saran signed a deal for its two sports channels to be carried on state-owned cable platform Kablo TV. As part of that agreement, Kablo TV will broadcast NBA TV, which Saran holds the Turkish distribution rights to, as a standalone channel, as well as Edgesport, the IMG-operated action sports channel.
Saran holds a range of major properties in Turkey which include the exclusive rights to the English Premier League, Uefa Nations League and Formula 1 motor racing.
The S Sport channels also show coverage of the Bundesliga, MLS, MotoGP, ATP Tour 500 tennis, UFC, top-ranked boxing including Anthony Joshua bouts, WWE, the Basketball Champions League and volleyball’s FIVB Nations League.
