Lithuanian free-to-air broadcaster TV3 has acquired rights for the 2018 and 2020 editions of the Olympic Games.
Coverage will be provided on the TV3 and TV6 channels, as well as the TV3.lt website.
Lithuania was one of the countries covered by US media and entertainment company Discovery Communications’ rights deal for the Games, from 2018 to 2024. Discovery acquired exclusive rights across all platforms, including free-to-air television, subscription and pay-television, internet and mobile phone in all languages.
Multiple reports in Lithuania said that the Lithuanian Olympic Fund had acquired the rights from Discovery and awarded them to TV3.
The 2018 winter Games will take place in Pyeongchang before Tokyo hosts the 2020 summer Olympics.
