Irish public-service broadcaster RTÉ and pay-television broadcaster Eir Sport have acquired rights for the 2017 Women’s Rugby World Cup.
Eir Sport has secured rights to every game from the tournament, which takes place in Ireland from August 9-26, and will broadcast live coverage of each of the home nation’s games.
RTÉ will show all of Ireland’s matches and the final via the RTÉ2 channel and the RTÉ Player on-demand service. RTÉ will sublicense the rights on a non-exclusive basis from Eir Sport.
Ireland begins its campaign against Australia on August 9, before facing Japan on August 13 and France on August 17.
