Canadian cable and satellite-television broadcaster Super Channel has acquired rights to the World Boxing Super Series, while rights deals for the tournament have also been agreed in the Netherlands and the Balkans.
Super Channel will broadcast the series’ inaugural 2017-18 campaign after acquiring rights from the MP & Silva agency.
Super Channel will show coverage of the eight quarter-final matches, the first of which takes place on September 9 in the German capital of Berlin.
Dutch commercial broadcaster RTL has also acquired exclusive rights to the series, while pay-television broadcaster Arena Sport will show coverage in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Serbia and Slovenia.
RTL and Arena Sport will both cover all fight nights of the 2017-18 series, with coverage to be shown in a combination of free-to-air and pay-per-view formats.
The series begins on September 9 and will feature two eight-man single-elimination tournaments in two weight classes.
