OTT operator YuppTV has acquired digital streaming rights across a host of markets for India’s home cricket international matches in the 2019-20 season.
YuppTV’s deal with the Board of Control for Cricket in India has secured non-exclusive rights in continental Europe; along with South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries, with the exception of India; Central and South America; and Central Asia.
India’s home season commenced on September 15 with the first of a three-match Twenty20 series against South Africa. YuppTV said customers in the Middle East will also be able to access the ongoing South Africa tour, which continues with a three-match Test series spanning October 2-23.
Comprising a total of 26 matches, India’s busy home season also sees visits from Bangladesh, West Indies and Australia before South Africa return for a one-day international series that concludes on March 18.
