The Zimbabwe Cricket governing body has said that its partnership with Indian subcontinent pay-television broadcaster Taj Television remains intact following reports to the contrary yesterday (Wednesday).
The ESPNcricinfo website said that the governing body had struck a new deal with Bangladeshi agency Total Sports Marketing to replace the agreement with Taj Television and its pay-television broadcaster Ten Sports.
However, Zimbabwe Cricket said today: “For the avoidance of doubt, Zimbabwe Cricket has a broadcasting arrangement with Taj Television that holds the television rights for Asia and the Middle East.
“ZC has also signed a deal with Total Sports Marketing (TSM) for commercial, ground and syndication rights. The contracts that ZC has with Taj TV and TSM are two separate deals which in no way infringe on each other’s rights. We wish to advise that ZC continues to honour all commercial arrangements it enters into, including the one with Taj TV.”
