Football: The European Broadcasting Union acquired the rights for Euro 2012 in 36 countries in a deal with Uefa, European football’s governing body. The deal covers Europe outside France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the UK, Scandinavia, Netherlands, Poland and the Ukraine. In seven of the 36 countries covered by the deal - Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Hungary, Israel, Kazakhstan, Portugal and Slovakia - EBU members have not been granted the rights and Uefa and the EBU will work to find suitable buyers.
