Australian public-service broadcaster ABC has acquired media rights for the Sochi 2014 Paralympic winter Games.
Sochi 2014 will be the third consecutive Paralympic winter Games broadcast by ABC.
ABC will broadcast the opening ceremony on March 7 live on ABC1. The broadcaster will also show a daily half-hour highlights package on ABC1 at 10.30am and nightly repeats at 6.00pm. Highlights will also be available on-demand via ABC’s iView service.
ABC will also live stream all alpine skiing events, as well as selected cross-country, biathlon and ice sledge hockey events, on the ABC Grandstand website.
ABC struck the deal with the Australian Paralympic Committee.
