Yousef Al-Obaidly has been promoted to the role of president of pay-television broadcaster beIN Sports France.
Al-Obaidly has served as delegate general director of beIN Sports France since the launch of the channel.
He will succeed Nasser Al-Khelaifi in the position and retain his existing responsibilities as deputy chief executive of parent company beIN Media Group.
Al-Khelaifi, the chief executive of beIN Media Group, said: “In less than two years, beIN Sports France has enjoyed great success. Yousef Al-Obaidly's contribution was instrumental. Today we are entering a new phase for the channel and I am confident that Al-Obaidly and his team will continue to develop its growth in a highly competitive French market.”
