Amazon, DirecTV secure deal for ‘TNF’ restaurant, bar rights

Amazon has secured a multiyear deal with satellite TV provider DirecTV to ensure distribution of Prime Video’s exclusive National Football League Thursday Night Football telecasts to more than 300,000 sports bars, restaurants, hotel lounges, casinos and sports books, retail shops and other out-of-home venues across the United States.

Many such establishments do not carry streaming services such as Amazon Prime Video but this deal with DirecTV for Business will ensure that Thursday Night Football games will be given a widespread domestic audience.
