Norwegian media company Amedia has agreed a five-year deal for rights to the Toppserien, the top division of domestic women’s football.
The agreement with the Norwegian Football Association (NFF) will run from 2018 to 2022 and is worth a total of NOK6.6m (€710,500/$846,800).
The contract between NFF and Amedia means that subscribers to the group’s 63 local newspapers, as well as several affiliated media houses, will be able to access broadcasts of Toppserien matches from 2018.
Public-service broadcaster NRK will retain rights to 10 Toppserien games per season under a broader deal with the NFF.
