German public-service broadcaster ARD has struck a rights deal with the DBB, basketball’s governing body in the country, to show a series of Germany national men’s team games this summer.
The coverage, which includes live broadcasts and magazine programmes, will be shown on free-to-air television and the internet.
ARD has acquired rights for Germany’s games against Finland on July 27, the team’s games in the Supercup tournament against Israel on August 1, Latvia on August 2 and Russia on August 3, and the European Championship qualifiers away against Poland on August 10 and Austria on August 13, and at home against the same teams on August 20 and 24, respectively.
Live coverage of the qualifier against Luxembourg on August 17 will be shown on the basketball-bund.de website.
