Argentina’s competition regulatory agency, the Comisión Nacional de Defensa de la Competencia, has set out a number of conditions the Walt Disney Company must fulfil in order to address competition concerns in the sports media marketplace arising from its acquisition of Fox Sports.

In March 2019, Disney completed its acquisition of the majority of 21st Century Fox’s assets, with the remainder – including Fox Sports – spun off into a new company, the Fox Corporation. The $71.3bn (€62.8bn) acquisition was approved on the condition that Disney either divested a number of Fox Sports’ international arms or came up with workable solutions to issues of competition.
