The organisers of the Barcelona World Race have agreed a deal for the Amaury Sport Organisation event operator and media company to distribute worldwide media rights for the sailing event.
The length of the deal has not been disclosed, but the third edition of the race will take place in 2014-15.
The organisers said that the aim of the deal is to “strengthen broadcast coverage of the event and make the reach more international, accessing channels in a larger number of countries, whilst paying special attention to new media.”
