BeIN Media Group has formed a channel dedicated to ‘El Clásico’ in Spain ahead of the LaLiga football clash between Barcelona and Real Madrid on Saturday.
BeIN yesterday (Monday) renamed its beIN LaLiga Max 1 channel to beIN Max El Clásico, with the change set to stay in place until after this weekend’s game.
During the build-up to the match, beIN Max El Clásico will broadcast more than 100 hours of content dedicated to the historic rivalry.
On match day itself, beIN Max El Clásico will act as a supplementary platform to coverage of the game itself on beIN LaLiga. BeIN said beIN Max El Clásico will be utilised to offer replays, different camera angles and other content not used from the main feed of the match.
BeIN is paying €633m ($671m) per season, across the 2016-17 to 2018-19 campaigns, for its rights to LaLiga and Copa del Rey games.
