BeIN Media Group and digital-terrestrial television broadcaster W9 have agreed three-year extensions to their rights deals in France for American football league the NFL.
French newspaper L’Equipe said pay-television broadcaster beIN Sports will continue coverage of the league across the 2016-17 to 2018-19 seasons. Under the deal, beIN will broadcast three live games per week across the regular season, along with other content.
Meanwhile, W9 will continue to show the Super Bowl, the season-ending showpiece of the NFL.
W9, which is owned by commercial broadcaster M6, has shown the Super Bowl on a free-to-air basis in France since 2010. Its new agreement will take in the 2016 game on February 7 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, along with the 2017 and 2018 Super Bowls.
