BeIN Media Group has launched beIN Sports LaLiga, its new Spanish channel dedicated to domestic football in the country.
The pay-television channel will concentrate solely on Spanish football, screening eight top-tier LaLiga games per matchday – always featuring at least one of Real Madrid or Barcelona – as well as action from the Copa del Rey knockout competition.
The Mediapro agency is distributing the channel in Spain and has so far secured carriage for it on the Movistar Plus, Vodafone, Orange, Telecable, Deion Telecomunicaciones and beIN Connect platforms.
BeIN Sports is paying €633m ($698.8m) per season, across the 2016-17 to 2018-19 campaigns, for its rights to LaLiga and Copa del Rey games.
