Pay-television broadcaster beIN Sports has extended a rights deal in France for Serie A, the top division of Italian football.
The deal will run for three seasons, from 2018-19 to 2020-21, according to multiple reports in France.
The deal was agreed with the IMG agency, which acquired international distribution rights for Serie A alongside Italian state broadcaster Rai last October. Rai struck a deal to distribute an Italian ‘communities package’ to markets in which there are a significant number of Italian speakers, while IMG’s distribution rights cover all territories.
