Pay-TV broadcaster beIN Sports has been forced to cease broadcasts in France of Italian Serie A football matches featuring Atalanta owing to regulatory concerns over the club’s main sponsor, financial technology firm Plus500.

Plus500, which provides online trading services, has been the Bergamo club’s shirt sponsor since the 2020-21 season. However, beIN has announced that it must fall in-line with an order from the Directorate General for Competition Policy, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control (DGCCRF).
