Belgian pay-television operator Belgacom has extended its broadcast rights deal with the Ethias League, Belgium’s top tier basketball competition, for a further two years.
The extended deal will run from the 2013-14 season through the 2014-15 campaign.
The deal includes live coverage of all play-off matches, as well as two matches from each championship day.
Belgacom will broadcast coverage of the competition via Belgacom 5, its television channel dedicated to basketball.
The broadcaster will also air reports, interviews and behind-the-scenes footage of matches, along with instructional videos about the sport.
Belgacom 5 is included in the basic Belgacom television package and is accessible at no additional cost to customers.
