UK pay-television channel Bike has acquired rights to this year’s edition of the Tour of Britain cycling event.
Bike, a 24-hour channel dedicated to cycling, will broadcast three hours live from every stage of the race, which begins in Glasgow on September 4 and finishes in London on September 11.
Bike is available in the UK via pay-television platforms Sky and Virgin Media, and earlier this month it also launched on Freesat after agreeing a carriage deal with the satellite platform.
The deal was reached with SweetSpot, organiser and commercial rights-holder for the Tour of Britain.
