The British Basketball League has agreed a streaming partnership with UK-based online news and entertainment company Unilad.
As part of the agreement, one BBL game per week during the 2017-18 season will be streamed for free on the Unilad and Unilad Sport pages on social media platform Facebook.
Unilad will also feature highlights packages and plays of the week as part of its coverage.
The deal has been signed ahead of the start of the 2017-18 BBL season tomorrow (Friday), when Unilad will stream coverage of London Lions’ trip to Worcester Wolves.
The opening weekend will also see Unilad stream an extra fixture, with coverage of Sunday’s game between Glasgow Rocks and DBL Sharks Sheffield to be shown.
Bob Hope, BBL commercial director, said: “This is yet another chapter in the story of BBL’s unrelenting pursuit to become a major professional sports league in the UK.
“Our agreement with Unilad is a great opportunity and also links closely to our digital strategy, which is evolving rapidly as we try to maximise the growing popularity of the sport.”
