Organisers of the 2015 Abu Dhabi Tour have said the inaugural edition of the cycling event will be shown in 169 countries around the world across 10 television networks, with eight of them covering the race live.
Taking place for the first time from October 8-11, the Abu Dhabi Tour is being organised by Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the Velon umbrella group of WorldTour teams.
Abu Dhabi Media will serve as host broadcaster and will provide live race coverage across the United Arab Emirates and in 22 other Middle Eastern and North African nations.
Other partners include international sports broadcaster Eurosport, Italian state broadcaster Rai and SuperSport, the pay-television broadcaster that operates in sub-Saharan Africa.
In China, the Abu Dhabi Tour will receive coverage via Iqiyi.com, Wasu TV, Youku.com and Image TV. News agencies SNTV and Reuters will be distributing event video news globally.
The Abu Dhabi Tour will be headlined by the inclusion of Peter Sagan. The Slovak rider (pictured) will be racing in the rainbow-striped jersey for the first time since his victory at the World Championships in Richmond, USA.
