UK pay-television broadcaster BT Sport has agreed a deal with Aberdeen to televise the decisive second leg of the Scottish Premiership football club’s Uefa Europa League qualifying game against Spanish Liga team Real Sociedad.
Thursday’s third qualifying round game at Aberdeen’s Pittodrie stadium is a sell-out for home fans and the club said it has signed a non-commercial agreement with BT Sport for rights in the UK and Ireland.
The match will also be streamed live on Aberdeen’s internet subscription service RedTV International.
Aberdeen chief executive Duncan Fraser said: “When it was obvious the game was going to be a sell-out in the home ends at Pittodrie, BT approached us regarding broadcasting the game and given there will be many Aberdeen supporters around the world unable to attend this is a great opportunity for them not to miss a minute of the action.”
Aberdeen will be looking to overturn a 2-0 defeat from the first leg of the encounter in San Sebastián.
