UK telecommunications company BT has acquired rights for the World Club 7s rugby sevens competition on August 17-18 at Twickenham Stadium in London.
BT, which will exploit the rights through a new pay-television sports service that will launch this summer, agreed the deal with Premiership Rugby, which operates the tournament.
BT Sport will show three hours of live coverage on August 17 and then five-and-a-half hours of live coverage on August 18.
The 12-team tournament will feature teams from the northern and southern hemisphere.
