Swedish pay-television broadcaster C More has said it will launch a new channel on October 14.
C More said the new channel will aim to provide a new form of sports coverage in Sweden with a combination of live matches, sports news, interviews, summaries, highlights and documentaries.
During its launch weekend, the new channel will cover the top two leagues in domestic football, the Allsvenskan and Superettan, including live coverage of the games between Halmstad BK and IFK Göteborg, and Dalkurd and Öster.
Ice hockey will also be showcased in the form of the HockeyAllsvenskan clash between Leksand and AIK.
“I don’t think any TV house in Sweden has the same conditions as we have now and in the coming years, so it's logical that we take this opportunity and break new ground for sports consumption,” Manfred Aronsson, managing director of C More, said.
