The CBS Sports division of US network CBS has agreed a deal to broadcast live coverage of the new Alliance of American Football competition.
The debut Alliance season will kick off in February next year as organisers seek to fill the void created by the end of the NFL season.
CBS will begin its coverage with the league’s debut game on February 9.
CBS will also show the league’s championship game on the final weekend of April 2019.
In addition, CBS has committed to showing one regular-season Alliance game per week on CBS Sports Network.
The Alliance has been created by Pro Football Hall of Famer Bill Polian, along with television and film producer Charlie Ebersol.
