Uefa, European football’s governing body, has agreed three-year deals in Kyrgyzstan for the Champions League and in Slovenia for the Europa League, covering the period 2012-13 to 2014-15.
Kyrgyzstan public-service broadcaster ELTR secured the free-to-air rights to all matches from the Champions League, and will show one live match each match night. ELTR will also air a Wednesday night highlights programme.
Slovenian public-service broadcaster RTVS has acquired the free-to-air rights to the Europa League, and will show the first-pick match each match week live, plus highlights. Pay-television broadcaster Sportklub agreed a deal for rights to all other matches last week.
Both deals include mobile and internet rights.
The Team Marketing agency, Uefa’s global sales agent for the media rights to the Champions League and Europa League, brokered the deals.
