UK commercial broadcaster Channel 4 has agreed a deal with the British Athletics governing body to broadcast a number of para athletics events this summer.
The deal will include terrestrial coverage of the first ever International Paralympic Committee Athletics Grand Prix Final in Birmingham, UK on June 29, and live broadcasting from the third day of the Sainsbury’s Anniversary Games in London on July 28.
The broadcaster will also provide coverage of this summer’s IPC Athletics World Championships, which will take place in Lyon, France from July 19-28.
Channel 4 also recently acquired the rights to televise the Paralympics through to 2016, a period that will include the Sochi 2014 Winter Paralympic Games and Rio 2016 Summer Paralympic Games.
The broadcaster had rights to the London 2012 Paralympic Games last summer.
