Israeli pay-television broadcaster Charlton has agreed a three-season extension to its rights deal for the English Premier League club football competition.
Charlton currently holds the rights to the Premier League in Israel and has renewed its deal to cover the 2016-17 to 2018-19 seasons of the competition.
The Calcalist.co.il website said Charlton has paid roughly five times the value of its current contract to retain the rights, in a bid to see off competition from telecommunications company Partner Communications, which has a deal to use the Orange brand name until June 2017.
