Claro Sports to cover Fina series in Latin America

Latin American media platform Claro Sports has acquired broadcast rights to two series operated by Fina, the global governing body of aquatic sports.

The agreement brokered by the Lagardère Sports agency covers the Swimming World Cup and Diving World Series.

As part of the agreement, terms of which were undisclosed, the two series will be broadcast by Claro Sports throughout Latin America, with the exception of Brazil. Claro Sports will exploit the rights through its multimedia platform, including pay-television, and the Marcaclaro.com website.

The deal will commence with the 2017 seasons of the two series. The 2017 Swimming Cup will launch in Moscow, Russia on August 2. The second round of the Diving World Series opened today (Thursday) in Guangzhou, China.
