The Constantin Medien media company, which owns the Team Marketing agency and German sports broadcaster Sport1, has extended the management structure of its sports arm.
A newly formed, five-member executive board will take over the operative responsibility for all activities of Constantin’s sports companies with immediate effect.
Constantin said the board will “strengthen the cooperation” between the individual companies and “boost the segment’s strategic capacity” through closer coordination of activities.
The executive board, which reports directly to the board of Constantin Medien, will be made up of: Joachim Wildt, chief executive of sports production subsidiary Plazamedia; Robin Seckler, digital director at Sport1; Olaf Schröder, chief editor and head of programming at Sport1; Leif Arne Anders, chief financial officer of Sport1 and marketing company Constantin Sport Marketing; and Thomas Deissenberger, chief executive of Constantin Sport Marketing.
In addition, a corporate board has also been established, which will concentrate on dovetailing the sports arm with the overarching group-specific issues. This board comprises three managers from Constantin Medien, the group’s holding company.
They are: Dr. Matthias Kirschenhofer, general counsel of Constantin Medien and also responsible for the distribution, regulation and licensing divisions; Michael Bamberg, responsible for business development and merger and acquisitions; and Sabine Lais, head of communication at Constantin Medien.
