Media company Constantin Medien will expand its management board to three people on October 1, while its sport subsidiaries will undergo managerial restructuring.
Fred Kogel will join Constantin’s executive committee tomorrow (Wednesday). Kogel served as chairman of the supervisory board for five years before resigning at the end of the annual general meeting held on July 30.
In the management board, Kogel will act as the member for production, process management and integration. He will join Constantin chief executive Bernhard Burgener and chief financial officer Antonio Arrigoni on the management board.
As of October 1, there will also be changes in the management structures of Constantin Medien subsidiaries Sport1 and Constantin Sport Marketing. Olaf Schröder (pictured), as managing director of Sport1 responsible for the programming and editing of all platforms under the multimedia umbrella brand Sport1 to date, will become the chairman of the management of the sports media company. Robin Seckler, managing director of digital, will continue to be responsible for all the digital activities of the sports media brand.
Chairman of the management of the group’s own marketer, Constantin Sport Marketing, will be fulfilled by Patrick Fischer. He has been in the management of the company since April 1 and has been responsible since then for the traditional advertising and sponsoring business. Matthias Kirschenhofer, the managing director of entertainment, will continue to be responsible for the marketing areas beyond the traditional advertising and sponsoring business.
Leif Arne Anders will continue as the commercial managing director of both subsidiaries. In each of their positions, Schröder, Seckler, Fischer and Kirschenhofer will report directly to Burgener.
Burgener said: “With the introduction of the role as chairman of the management of Sport1 and Constantin Sport Marketing, there is now a consistent management structure with clear responsibilities in our sports companies. We have a strong team, which will continue to develop the numerous progresses already made in the digital transformation of our sports activities.”
