DAZN Group has introduced sizeable price increases in Germany and Japan, two of the OTT subscription broadcaster’s major markets, following high-profile football rights additions and sports rights renewals in the two countries.
In simultaneous announcements, DAZN has doubled its monthly subscription price from €14.99 ($16.91) to €29.99 in Germany and introduced a 56-per-cent price hike in Japan, rising from ¥1,925 ($16.84/€14.93) per month (including tax) to ¥3,000.
