Sports media and technology company Deltatre has hired Google executive Claude London to lead what it says will be a major expansion into the Americas.
London (pictured) will serve as Deltatre’s president for the Americas, managing a team based in the company’s offices in New York, Los Angeles and Silicon Valley. He will report directly to Deltatre chief executive Giampiero Rinaudo.
Most recently, London worked for technology giant Google and its YouTube video-sharing platform, serving in various leadership positions that included overseeing a commercial strategy function seeking to maximise YouTube’s monetisation potential.
London said: “Over the past 30 years, Deltatre has built its reputation worldwide, and I see real opportunity for growth in the Americas which has historically been an early adopter of new technologies. We at Deltatre Americas look forward to serving our great sports leagues and broadcasters, as well as to innovating with them.”
Deltatre said the news is the first in a series of major announcements planned over the coming months as part of its Americas expansion, adding it is poised for “explosive growth” in the region.
“We are ready and excited to bring our 30 years of experience working with global sports federations and media companies to the Americas,” Rinaudo added. “Claude is the perfect person to lead our ambitious expansion into a frontier that embraces sport, media and technology, and all the innovation that goes with it.”
