Sports media and technology company Deltatre has been selected by ATP Media, the broadcast arm of men’s tennis organisation the ATP World Tour, to redesign and relaunch its direct to consumer live streaming service.
The new-look TennisTV will launch in January 2017, in time for the new tennis season. Deltatre will provide its interactive video player, Diva, to support TennisTV’s live streaming and on-demand coverage of matches.
The platform will combine HD streaming, integrated stats and data, multi-court coverage and a wide-ranging classic match archive on all platforms.
Besides enhanced and improved experiences on desktop and mobile browsers, and iOS and Android apps, TennisTV will debut on streaming devices including Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire, Chromecast, gaming consoles and connected televisions.
Stuart Watts, ATP Media’s chief operating officer, said: “This is a significant step forward to present tennis in new and meaningful ways to our fans. It is important for ATP Media to take TennisTV to the next level to capitalise on the latest viewing trends of streaming media and OTT consumption.”
TennisTV streams over 2,700 ATP World Tour and Women’s Tennis Association matches per year.
