Telcoms operator Digi Communications has extended carriage deals with media group AMC Networks International and international media company Discovery in agreements that will allow it to continue offering a host of sports channels to customers in Hungary and Romania, respectively.
The long-term extension with AMC Networks means Sport1 and Sport2 will continue to be among nine channels offered by Digi in Hungary.
Digi’s deal with Discovery Romania ensures continued carriage in the country of the Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 channels, along with Discovery Channel, TLC and Travel Channel (plus the launch of HGTV).
This will mean Digi customers will be able to view Eurosport’s coverage of the Olympic Games, along with grand slam and ATP Tour tennis, and football content such as the English Premier League and FA Cup.
Eurosport 2 will only be available in Digi’s digital package with Eurosport 1 offered in both the digital and analogue packages.
