Latvian Kontinental Hockey League ice hockey club Dinamo Riga has claimed a first with the launch of a new television channel.
Developed in partnership with Latvian telecommunications company Lattelecom, the club said 360TV Dinamo Riga makes it the first team in the pan-European competition to develop its own television channel.
The channel will be provided to customers of Lattelecom’s interactive television and internet services and will be offered via television and tablet and smartphone devices.
Juris Gulbis, chairman of the Lattelecom board, said: “Hockey has historically been one of the most watched sports in Latvia and excites a large number of supporters. The real fans not only come to their team’s games, but keep track of almost all team activities, so 360TV Dinamo Riga will offer viewers much more – to be with the team every day, getting to know the players well beyond the playing field.”
